Accelerate overall wellbeing for women with smart healthcare

On March 6, 2025, under the guidance of Chongqing Charity Federation and jointly organized by State Key Laboratory of Ultrasound in Medicine and Engineering, ISMIVS, 99 Zigong Web, and Da Yi Wei Ke, the 6th Multicenter Telemedicine Campaign for Women's Health was held in Shuitu, Liangjiang New District, Chongqing. 208 HIFU Centers around the world were interconnected online to help women realize their wish of preserving the uterus and breasts without incisions and blood through the Haifu Knife® device with China's original focused ultrasound technology, and to interpret the power of science and technology, also humanistic care in the form of free assistance, fee waivers and other forms of public welfare.

Kuang Youzhi, Vice President of Chongqing Charity Federation, delivered a speech, highly praising the sponsor’s love and dedication to charity. In the past six years, this campaign have been committed to holding a series of public welfare actions to care for women's health, to protect the health of thousands of women with focused ultrasound ablation technology, and to ensure that organs are protected from harm. The rapid development of medical science and technology has also provided wings for public welfare and charity. Each action is to convey love and hope, so that the majority of women deeply feel the care and support from society.

Prof. Philippe Descamps, President of ISMIVS, delivered a speech that “The promotion of minimally invasive and non-invasive technology for the preservation of organ integrity and function is paramount. In this spirit I welcome you to this event aimed at uplifting the wellbeing of patients suffering from uterine fibroids and adenomyosis.”

Prof. Li Jidong, Secretary of the Party Committee of Shijiazhuang West Medical Center Hospital, said that Shijiazhuang West Medical Center Hospital has always kept pace with the times, taking intelligent construction as the core strategy of hospital development, devoting itself to improving the level of medical services through intelligent means and taking the road of differentiated development. Minimally invasive is the development trend of medical treatment in the future. China's original focused ultrasound technology, which does not require open surgery, has the advantages of non-invasiveness and quick recovery. It performs well in the treatment of malignant tumors (such as liver cancer and pancreatic cancer) and significantly improves the quality of life of patients.

Prof. Wang Zhibiao, Director of the State Key Laboratory of Ultrasound in Medicine and Engineering, said that fertility in China has been declining in recent years, and the number of hysterectomies has exceeded 2 million annually. Focused ultrasound technology is an important achievement in the development of surgery, which is developing in the direction of digitalization, intelligence and non-invasiveness. Of particular importance is the technology's ability to protect a woman's uterus, breasts, and other organs from harm, which has more far-reaching implications for society.
